Receive & Inspect

Your kit arrives in temperature-controlled packaging. Inspect the jar — healthy mycelium appears white and fluffy. A small amount of condensation inside is normal.

💡 Don't open the jar yet — let it rest for 12 hours at room temperature first.

Set Up Your Fruiting Chamber

Place the jar inside the humidity tent. Keep it in indirect light in a warm spot (22–28°C). Spray the inside of the tent 2–3 times daily — never spray directly on the substrate.

Watch the Magic Happen

Within 5–7 days, you'll see bright orange pins forming. Continue misting twice daily. The fruiting bodies grow fast — check on them morning and evening.

💡 Orange colour intensifies with more light — 4–6 hours of indirect daylight is ideal.

Harvest at Peak

Harvest when fruiting bodies are 4–8cm tall and before the tips flatten. Twist and pull gently at the base. Ready to eat, brew as tea, or dry for long-term use.

Rest & Repeat

After harvest, rest the substrate for 5 days with minimal moisture. A second (and third) flush will begin. Most kits yield 2–4 flushes over 6–10 weeks.

How do I use the harvested Cordyceps?

Is Cordyceps militaris the same as Cordyceps sinensis?

They're closely related but different species. Cordyceps sinensis is the wild Himalayan variety — extremely rare and expensive. Cordyceps militaris is cultivable and contains equal or higher concentrations of the key bioactive Cordycepin. Research shows militaris is often more potent for energy and immune applications.
